Park Update 2nd March 2021
Following the release of the government roadmap, we are hoping to be able to re-open on Monday 12th April however this will be for self-contained guests only. This means that we can welcome guests who are booked into our holiday homes or visiting us in a fully self-contained motorhome or caravan - by self-contained, we ask that guests must be able to sleep, cater and bathe within their own single unit. Unfortunately, any guest due to visit with a tent or stay in a non self-contained unit will need to rearrange their stay with us to 17th May at the very earliest.
In line with regulations, our shared facilities blocks will not be open until 17th May and this does include our laundry room, any guests who arrive and are not fully self-contained will regrettably be turned away.
As always, our absolute priority is your safety and well-being, as well as that of our staff and their families and as with last year, there will be additional measures in place around the park to ensure full compliance and the utmost hygiene. We ask that you kindly take a moment to refamiliarise yourselves with this information which can be found here.
Our phone lines and emails are incredibly busy and we ask that you kindly refrain from contacting us during this time unless absolutely necessary. We are working our way through all affected bookings and will be in contact with all affected guests. If you are due to stay with us in a non self-contained unit before 17th May, you have the option to transfer or cancel your holiday. If you have a preferred option you may email us with your booking number and request which we will attend to and process as soon as we are able. Thank you all for your co-operation and support, we really can't wait to welcome you all back.
What will be open from 12th April?
Our Seahorse restaurant will be open for takeaways as will Pentewan Plaice, the Hubbox and the onsite supermarket, all with social distancing measures in place. Regrettably our swimming pools and arcade will remain closed until 17th May at the earliest and as stated above, our shared facilities blocks and laundry will also be closed. Our waste disposal points will be open.
What do we mean by self-contained?
Self-contained holiday accommodation must include provisions for sleeping, catering and bathing within one single unit - i.e. toilet tents are not considered part of a self-contained unit. In addition, this must be restricted to the exclusive use of a single household or support bubble.
What are my options?
All guests who are affected by the changes are eligible to transfer or cancel their holiday and receive a full refund. We have contacted all affected guests from 26th March to 10th April and we are processing these requests whilst responding to emails and phone calls. If you have emailed us, please allow 5 working days for us to respond. We are a small team and busily working our way through each affected booking.
I am self-contained and due to stay from 12th April, do I need to do anything?
If you are booked to stay with us in a fully self-contained unit then your booking is not affected and you do not need to do anything. We will be able to welcome you and will be in contact closer to your stay with the usual welcome email.
What happens if I am booked from 17th May?
Providing we have government go ahead, we are hopeful of being able to welcome all campers back from 17th May which means guests booked to stay from then do not need to do anything. If we were to re-open, we would be able to open our shared facilities blocks as well as our laundry. In addition, we would hope that our swimming pools and arcade would also be able to open with possibly some sit down dining at the Seahorse.
I am staying in a holiday home, what does this mean for me?
Our holiday homes are fully self-contained so we are able to accept all guests from 12th April who are booked to stay with us in these units. Please be aware, we are continuing to ask guests to please bring their own pillows and pillowcases with them, this further removes any risk of contamination and will speed up the changeover process. Holiday homes must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
